A Day in dayah's Life in Campus

My name is Nur Hidayah binti Azmi. I’m 21 years old. Before this I was study at Penang Matriculation College. I study at that college for one year, I chose the National University of Malaysia as place to further my study. On 1st July 2007, that was a surprise day for. It’s because I was going to enroll at that University. But, I still don’t know how are would that place looks like. All my family members were accompanied me to register at that University. We leaved home early in the morning at 7.00 a.m. We took four hours from Perak to Bangi. We arrived at UKM 10.00a.m.Because of too early to make a registration, so my mum decided to go to my relative’s house where not too far from UKM. My relative has prepared lunch for us. After prayed and had lunch, I went to UKM to make a college registration. That was the first time I came to UKM. It was so awesome place. UKM is much more nice and bigger compared to my previous study place. I have registered at one of the UKM hostel which is name Keris mas college. There were so many steps, I need to pass. Firstly, I was asked to write my name on the registration book according to block and room that already has given. And I got 15-422 room. After that, I went up stairs to continue my registration procedures. I got my file, college t-shirt and my room key. One of the facilitator asked me,” do you know where does block 15.” And said,” no, I don’t know,” and she explained to me the location of block 15. And she told me that, I must to come to that place again to hear briefing about orientation week. After I have completed my registration, my family accompanied me to search for my room. There were two persons per room. After I tidied up my room, my family asked to go home. Then I shook hand and big hugged to my family. Before that my mom reminded me to study hard. After my family went home, I chatted with my new roommate. Her name is Shahrina. She came from Sarawak. That was the first time I met her and got the Sarawak student as my roommate. She has been a very nice person. After had some rest, we were going to that place where the facilitator said before. We heard about briefing for 3M week. The Opening ceremony for 3M week will be started at that night. So, we were asked to come to that place again at 8.30 am. After that briefing we had tea time together. That night I came to place again. I wore the pink baju kurung. I saw the others students wore blue baju kurung. So, I look so strange because I was the only one who wore pink baju kurung. Suddenly a senior told me that I needed to wear blue baju kurung for the whole days during orientation week. Arrgghhh…I felt so ashamed on that time. The opening ceremony ended at 11 pm. I backed to my room. I slept at new place that night. And tomorrow I needed to wake up early to continue my orientation day. That was the first experience. A day in my life in campus.
